About Danae Ceramics
Danae Kotsi-Golanda is a ceramic artist based in Athens, Greece.
Her background in art direction, visual design and 3D modeling, informs her approach to merge art and utility. Through her studio work at DANAE CERAMICS, she harmonizes form with surface decorations.

Danae employs hand-built ceramic art vessels as a medium for exploring stories from the natural world, medieval illustrations and tapestries, antique ceramics, tattoo illustration and embroidery.

Her inspiration comes from the organic landscape of the Greek islands and rocks to more complex themes from English history and lore.
Danae hand builds and paints her vessels, using oxides for coloring, an ancient recipe to produce her color pallets.

As each vessel takes time from building to final kiln firing, Danae's ceramics come to life in limited collections.
Every piece is unique, telling its own story through colour, shape and design.
