Large hand built ceramic bowl made from terracotta and white porcelain slip. Adorned with byzantine inspired inserts, sgraffito designs and painted with oxides which produce the unique blue colour. This bowl is a rendition of traditional vessels used in the Greek rural homes. The illustration is reminiscent of folk embroidery patterns also found in those homes, with the design and techniques passing through generations to generation of women.
 
Hand wash gently with warm soapy water. Not dishwasher safe. Not oven safe.
